AAU Holds An Honoring Ceremony for Students of the Department of Architecture Engineering for their Distinguished Projects

As part of the AAU's ongoing efforts to strengthen cooperation frameworks with the local and national community bodies and institutions, the AAU President, Prof. Sari Hamdan, received a delegation from Al-Fuheis Municipality headed by His Excellency the Mayor, Engineer Jamal Hattar and a number of the Municipal Council members. During this meeting, they outlined the frameworks of cooperation and participation in the future projects of Al- Fuheis City and exchanged commemorative shields. After that, the Dean of the Faculty of Architecture and Design Dr. Rama Al-Rabdi patronized the honorary ceremony which took place in the Mahmoud Darwish Theater. This ceremony was held for a number of students from the Department of Architecture Engineering whose distinctive design proposals for the construction projects in Al- Fuheis City won the competition. The ceremony was attended by His Excellency Engineer Jamal Hattar and members of the Municipal Council and the Technical Department of the Municipality.The Head of the Department of Architecture Engineering, Dr. Saba Nusairat, indicated that this event was the culmination of a stage of mutual cooperation between the AAU Department of Architecture Engineering and Al- Fuheis Municipality. She added that this event is also an achievement of the Department mission, which aims to prepare architects who are capable of finding design solutions that serve the community and national development. These vital projects, which were offered in the Architectural Design Course for the fourth year students under the supervision of Dr. Naser Abu Anza, instructor Milkiyya Al-Zaher and instructor Safaa Al-Deen Al-Nuaimi, presented a number of solutions that contribute to the preservation of Al-Fuheis City heritage and its revival and support the tourist aspect. Moreover, these solutions meet the needs of the local citizens and propose development plans for them and for the city which brings about economic benefits.
