AAU Holds A Workshop on the Criteria of the Jordanian Ranking for the Academic Programs

The AAU Department of Quality held a workshop on the criteria of the Jordanian Ranking for Academic Programs on Sunday, 22/9/2019. This workshop was presented by Younis Sultan, the Head of the AAU Department of Local & International Accreditation and was attended by the coordinators of the Programs subject to ranking. These programs were determined according to requirements of the Accreditation & Quality Commission for Higher Education Institutions. The workshop emphasized that the aim of the classification process of the Jordanian Ranking for the Academic Program is to provide the targeted sectors of students, parents, university instructors, university administrations and policy makers of higher education with information about the quality of academic programs at the national level. This process also is considered an objective evaluation of the programs offered by the Jordanian universities. This is done according to a selected group of international criteria. Whereby, this classification process helps to improve the quality of academic programs. During this workshop, Sultan stressed the need for starting the work to fulfill the requirements of participating in the classification process of the determined academic programs. He also outlined the procedures to be followed to accomplish this task.
