AAU Faculty of Pharmacy Hosts Renowned Jordanian Researcher Dr. Aman Ishaqat

The Faculty of Pharmacy at Al-Ahliyya Amman University recently welcomed Dr. Aman Aref Ishaqat, an accomplished Jordanian researcher and recipient of the prestigious 2025 Schmidt Science Fellowship, one of the most competitive and distinguished fellowships in the world. The event, held in the presence of Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Dr. Arwa Al-Khatib, faculty and administrative members, and students, featured a scientific session during which Dr. Ishaqat highlighted her exceptional academic journey. Her research bridges the fields of pharmacy, nanotechnology, and molecular biology, with a special focus on RNA-based therapies for chronic pulmonary diseases, which she is currently pursuing at the Technical University of Munich as part of her fellowship. In her welcome address, Dr. Arwa Al-Khatib emphasized the importance of inspiring students and researchers to strive for academic excellence, praising Dr. Ishaqat’s achievements as a source of pride for both Jordan and the Arab world. Dr. Ishaqat expressed her happiness at visiting AAU and meeting with pharmacy students, stressing the need to foster collaboration between researchers and academic institutions in Jordan and globally, and to encourage the younger generation to pursue scientific ambition and innovation. During her visit, AAU President Prof. Sari Hamdan received Dr. Ishaqat in his office, accompanied by Dr. Arwa Al-Khatib. He warmly welcomed her, commended her distinguished scientific accomplishments, and presented her with the University Shield in recognition of her outstanding academic contributions and esteemed scientific standing.
