AAU Faculty of Arts and Sciences Hosts Lecture on Drugs and Society
In line with the vision and mission of Al-Ahliyya Amman University and as part of its efforts to engage with the local community, the Faculty of Arts and Sciences—in collaboration with the Deanship of Student Affairs—organized a lecture titled “Drugs and Society” for its students.
The lecture was delivered by Mr. Anas Al-Tantawi, Head of the Media Department at Al-Rashid Hospital, who emphasized the importance of raising awareness about the dangers of drug addiction from various perspectives. He also stressed the significance of seeking treatment in cases of addiction. The session included visual presentations illustrating different types of narcotic substances.
The event was attended by Prof. Hanan Ibrahim, Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences, along with a number of faculty members and students. The session witnessed active engagement through students’ questions and insightful interactions.
The discussion was moderated by Prof. Sawsan Badrkhan, a faculty member. At the end of the session, the Dean presented a university shield to the guest speaker in appreciation of his valuable contribution.
