AAU Explores Collaborative Plan with Umniah
Dr. Maher Al-Hourani, Chairman of the Board of Directors at AAU, along with Professor Sari Hamdan, the university's president, hosted Faisal Qamhieh, the CEO of Umniah Company, and several top executives. The visit aimed to discuss avenues of collaboration between the university and the company.
The meeting was attended by Professor Anas Al-Soud, Vice President for International Relations and Quality Affairs, Eng. Ahmed Al-Hourani, Director of the Marketing and Communication Unit, Mr. Hussam Al-Sayyid, Liaison Officer, and Mr. Nader Sweidan, Director of Arena Complex.
Dr. Maher Al-Hourani stated, "We are pleased with Umniah's visit to this academic institution, our strategic partner and exclusive provider of high-speed internet and communication services since 2012. This reflects our confidence in Umniah's capabilities and its commitment to delivering high-quality services to us and our clients." He highlighted that Umniah's services would help the university enhance operational efficiency, increase productivity, and strengthen its competitive edge.
Professor Sari Hamdan, the university's president, welcomed the visit, emphasizing the importance of enhancing cooperation with Umniah and leveraging the company's leading expertise in communications and the internet to enhance education quality and improve university services.
Faisal Qamhieh, CEO of Umniah, expressed pride in the visit, acknowledging its significant role in developing the local community economically, touristically, and, educationally through AAU. He recognized the university as a prestigious educational institution contributing tangibly to the development of higher education outputs and enriching the local market.
The meeting included a detailed presentation by Professor Anas Al-Soud about the university, covering its history, strategic plan, vision, faculties, centers, programs, and future plans.
Following the meeting, Professor Al-Soud accompanied Faisal Qamhieh and other company executives on a tour of some university facilities, such as the Faculty of Dentistry, the Arena Complex, and the Faculty of Culinary Arts. At the end of the visit, the university presented a commemorative shield to its esteemed guest in appreciation of his visit.
