AAU Engineering Students Honored at Jordan Engineers Association Graduation Project Awards Ceremony

Under the patronage of H.E. Professor Azmi Mahafzah, Minister of Education and Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the Jordan Engineers Association held its 2024 Graduation Project Awards Ceremony on Saturday, April 12, 2025. The ceremony celebrated outstanding student projects in industrial applications and traffic engineering. The event was attended by Eng. Fawzi Masad, Vice President of the Association; Eng. Riad Al-Kharabsheh, Executive Director of Transport and Infrastructure Projects at the Greater Amman Municipality; Eng. Fadl Al-Labbadi, representing the President of the Amman Chamber of Industry; and Dr. Mohammad Ghaith, Chair of the Awards Committee, alongside committee members. Among the honorees were students from the Faculty of Engineering at Al-Ahliyya Amman University, representing the Biomedical Engineering and Civil Engineering departments. The awards were presented in the presence of the Faculty Dean, Prof. Bashar Al-Tarawneh. Students from the Biomedical Engineering Department—Mohammad Majeed, Bara’ Hasaniyeh, and Fayhaa Al-Zoubi—supervised by Prof. Jamal Al-Nabulsi, secured second place in the Electrical Engineering Division, which includes electrical, biomedical, computer, communications, and mechatronics engineering specializations. Additionally, Civil Engineering students Ibrahim Bani Tareef and Waleed Al-Sleihat—supervised by Dr. Takwa Al-Hadidi—were awarded second place in the Civil Engineering Division, under the category of Traffic Engineering Projects.
