AAU Concludes Its Ramadan Charity Campaigns in Support of the Local Community in Al-Balqa

Al-Ahliyya Amman University has concluded its Ramadan charity campaign “A Gesture of Goodness in the Month of Goodness,” which aimed to support underprivileged families in Al-Balqa Governorate. The campaign, organized by the Deanship of Student Affairs in collaboration with the Higher Committee for Activities and Community Service and the Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism Management, ran from March 11 to March 26, 2025. Throughout the campaign, food parcels and cheese were distributed to over 500 underprivileged families, in cooperation with several civil institutions, the Federation of Charitable Associations in Al-Balqa, and local community activists. The second phase of the campaign focused on supporting orphaned children. Eid clothing was distributed in celebration of Eid Al-Fitr, and special Ramadan iftars were organized over four consecutive days. These meals, prepared in collaboration with the Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism Management, reached more than 700 orphaned children. A special day was also dedicated to 100 children from Gaza and their families who are receiving medical treatment in Jordan, in line with the directives of His Majesty King Abdullah II Ibn Al Hussein. The iftar events featured entertainment segments and gift distribution, leaving a positive and lasting impact on the children and their families. More than 500 students from various university faculties, along with a large number of student club members, actively participated in this charitable initiative. Professor Mustafa Al-Atiyyat, Dean of Student Affairs and Head of the Higher Committee for Activities and Community Service, expressed his gratitude to the university leadership—represented by Chairman of the Board of Directors, Dr. Maher Hourani, and University President, Professor Sari Hamdan—for their continuous efforts and unwavering support of community service initiatives.
