AAU Celebrates Jordan Flag Day

Al-Ahliyya Amman University celebrated Jordan Flag Day in a vibrant national atmosphere, with wide participation from students, faculty members, and administrative staff, reflecting strong pride in national identity and belonging. The celebrations began on Thursday, 16 April 2026, as the university entrances and courtyards were decorated with the Jordanian flag. Flags were distributed to attendees, accompanied by national songs that created an energetic and patriotic atmosphere. During the event, the University President, Professor Sari Hamdan, emphasized that the Jordanian flag represents national unity and reflects a history of sacrifice and achievement. He stressed the importance of instilling values of loyalty and belonging among students and strengthening their connection to national symbols that embody Jordan’s identity. He further noted that this national occasion offers an opportunity to deepen young people’s awareness of the importance of preserving the nation’s achievements and drawing inspiration from the values upon which Jordan was founded under the wise Hashemite leadership. The event witnessed moments of joy and active engagement, as participants expressed their love for Jordan and pride in its flag, which symbolizes dignity and unity, affirming their commitment to contributing to the country’s development and progress. The celebration comes as part of a series of university activities aimed at promoting national values and reinforcing the symbolism of the Jordanian flag in students’ consciousness. The event concluded with prayers for the protection of Jordan and the continuation of its security and stability under His Majesty King Abdullah II Ibn Al Hussein and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince.
