AAU Celebrates Arbor Day in Al-Balqa Governorate
Al-Ahliyya Amman University participated in the Arbor Day celebration held on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, in Al-Balqa Governorate under the patronage of the Governor of Al-Balqa, His Excellency Mr. Suleiman Al-Najada, and in the presence of representatives from public and private sectors.
Representatives from the university, including members of the Deanship of Student Affairs, the Faculty of Agricultural Technology, and faculty members from the Faculties of Agricultural Technology, Dentistry, Business, Architecture and Design, and Hospitality and Tourism Management, participated in the event. Additionally, 50 students from various faculties took part, reflecting a spirit of cooperation and teamwork between students and faculty members.
The aim of this participation was to foster a sense of belonging and social responsibility among the participants, who demonstrated significant interest in issues related to sustainable agriculture and the environment.
The Faculty of Agricultural Technology played a prominent role in the event, actively contributing to agricultural activities by highlighting the importance of planting carob trees in the Al-Subeihi area along the Salt road. This reflects the faculty's commitment to its pioneering role in supporting sustainable agriculture, raising environmental awareness, and promoting biodiversity in the region.
Participants from the Al-Ahliyya Amman University community expressed their appreciation for the efforts of the university, the Deanship of Student Affairs, and the Faculty of Agricultural Technology in organizing the celebration. They commended the university's leading role in enhancing environmental awareness and serving the local community, wishing for the continuation of such activities that contribute to achieving sustainable development goals.
