AAU Carries Out A campaign to Plant Palm Trees & Rehabilitate Al-Sarou Main Road to Mark the Centennial Founding of the Jordanian State

The AAU’s cadres in cooperation with Al-Balqa Governorate, the Ministry of Public Works, the Greater Salt Municipality, the Directorate of Agriculture in Al-Balqa Governorate, and the All-Jordan Youth Commission, planted 50 palm trees and a variety of ornamental trees on Al-Sarou main road. The University also participated in rehabilitating and lighting the traffic island, painting sidewalks, rehabilitating the iron barriers and maintaining and lighting the main pedestrian bridge.It is worth noting that this campaign comes within the pre-set plan of the University to mark the Centennial Founding of the Jordanian State. It also comes within the AAU’s efforts in the continuous interaction, cooperation and coordination with the components of the local community in Al-Balqa Governorate which is represented by Al-Balqa Governorate, the Directorate of Public Works in Al-Balqa Governorate, the Greater Salt Municipality, the Directorate of Agriculture in Al-Balqa Governorate, the All-Jordan Youth Commission and other sectors of the local community.The Chairman of the AAU Board of Directors, Dr. Maher Al-Hourani, and the AAU President, Prof. Sari Hamdan stressed the need to strengthen the bonds of this cooperation and coordination, and to support all activities and initiatives that contribute to the development of the local community in Al-Balqa Governorate, where by the University is a major component.
