AAU Becomes the First Jordanian University and Institution that Obtains the Certificate of Compliance with the International Standards of Risk Management System (ISO 31000)

The International Company (TQCS) granted AAU the Certificate of Compliance with the International Standards of Risk Management System (ISO 31000) after fulfilling the certificate requirements and completing the external audit in accordance with the best international practices.It is worth mentioning that Prof. Moaz Al- Hourani, the Director General of the AAU Accreditation and Quality Management Unit who received the certificate confirmed that achieving this certificate is due to the concerted efforts and continuous cooperation between the Quality Department team and representatives of faculties, deanships and organizational units at the University.Prof. Moaz added that the AAU success in obtaining this certificate will have a positive impact since applying these specifications will contribute to achieving the objectives of the strategic plan (2019-2023) and reducing the likelihood of risks that it may faces.Al-Hourani also explained that the existence of comprehensive risk methods at the University facilitated the process of obtaining the (ISO 31000) certificate. This was demonstrated by the importance of identifying, analyzing and responding to the risks that may be faced. It is worth mentioning that this achievement eminated from the support of the Chairman of the Board of Directors Dr. Maher Al- Hourani and the AAU President Prof. Sari Hamdan. This certificate is added to a group of local and international certificates and accreditations that have been obtained based on advance planning that stems from the need for an integrated management system at the University level.
