AAU Adopts eLearment Solutions for Developing E-Learning
In a pioneer act that aims at the development of its academic programs through automation, Al-Ahliyya Amman University (AAU) has signed a cooperation agreement with eLearment in which this Arab company, a leader in developing e-learning systems and a solutions provider, undertakes to develop educational units in electronic interactional forms in all fields of specialization. The agreement, which was signed by AAU President Professor Sadeq Hamed and eLearment CEO Ashraf Nairoukh, aims at utilizing modern eLearment technology and incorporating its interactional tools in new innovative ways that will meet the aspirations of academic institutions by helping the students to comprehend academic programs and assimilate their concepts using scientific methods mediated by various aids and presentations.Commenting on this agreement, Professor Hamed said that “this step comes in the framework of activating the roles of the Hourani E-Learning Center at AAU, the only center of its kind in Jordan that caters to the needs of the educational community in the teaching-learning process in all fields of specialization. We at AAU are keen on keeping abreast of modern time demands by acquisitioning state of the art technology and integrating it into our educational system so that we can upgrade its methods, a drive that has resulted in our being the first Arab university to be selected by eLearment, a company that has distinguished itself by the high caliber and comprehensiveness of its interactive tools. Added to this is the tools simplicity of operation and capacity to determine student levels and introducing relevant explanations that will facilitate the understanding of the content material and consolidating them more clearly and more firmly, all of which by drawing upon the efforts of distinguished University members of staff. The eLearment systems, added the AAU President, have distinguished themselves by their capacity to respond to our vision of developing academic work and enriching it by introducing solutions that impart to University courses a quality that reflects the highlights of progress and civilization that we are blessed to witness in the twenty-first century.Mr. Nairoukh commended the signing of this agreement with AAU, adding that he welcomed the signing of the agreement with a university as big as Al-Ahliyya Amman University and that he looks forward to introducing this program to all Jordanian universities and schools, considering that it is unique in its interactive tools that are more intelligent and capable of meeting student needs and abilities. Mr. Nairoukh added that eLearment has succeeded in consolidating their programming and field capacities for the purpose of inducing change and incorporating the ideal use of modern technology into the educational systems in the various educational institutions, especially that the interactive e-learning elements are compatible with the electronic systems available at most universities and schools. Mr. Nairoukh also pointed out that the users could have control of matters such as modifications and direct development of interactive electronic materials if the need arises, a feature that enables the students to identify their levels and helps them to look up information they need. Mr. Nairoukh predicted that the new system will create a qualitative change in the concepts and methods of modern education especially that it exhibits unique features and new attributes that will meet the needs of the educational environment and enrich it with still more interactivity.
