A Poetry Evening by the Poet Abdullah Alloush Al-Hajri

Under the sponsorship of His Excellency Mr. Hamad Al-Duaij, the Kuwaiti Ambassador in Jordan, Al-Ahliyya Amman University (AAU) has hosted the great Kuwaiti poet Abdullah Alloush Al-Hajri at the Nizar Qabbani Auditorium. Professor Sadeq Hamid, AAU president, had received ambassador Al-Duaij and the poet Al-Hajri at his office in the presence of His Excellency Dr Atiyah Shammari, the Cultural Attaché at the Kuwaiti Embassy. The President and his guests discussed the relationship between the two brotherly nations, which has been nurtured by His Majesty King Abdullah II Bin Al Hussein and his brother His Royal Highness Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, the prince of Kuwait. A large crowd of students from various Jordanian universities attended this glamorous poetic evening when the poet recited an impressive collection of his poetry, which was very well received by the audience.
