A Lecture in the AAU on “The Importance of Professional Certificates for Students of the Business School”

The AAU/Business School hosted Mr. Ahmad Maklati, the representative of the Institute of Managerial Accountants (IMA) and the Director of Regional Relations in the Middle East and Africa. In this event which took place on Wednesday, 26-7-2017, he delivered an enlightening lecture about the importance of professional certificates in Accounting and Finance. The lecture was attended by the Dean of the Business School, Prof. Abed Al-Naser Noor along with a number of Faculty members from the Accounting and Finance & Banking Departments. Mr. Maklati talked about the importance of professional certificates (CMA) in the labor market and about their key role in providing job opportunities. He also talked about the conditions of obtaining such certificates which require passing the English two exams (the first and the second parts) which are held at specific times during the year. The lecturer mentioned the scholarships offered by the Accredited Institute of Managerial Accountants. Meanwhile, Mrs Anoud Abu Abed from Al-Jinan Consulting Establishment elaborated on the ways to support students who wish to enroll for this certificate. At the end of the lecture, the guest lecturer answered the attendees’ questions. Prof. Abed Al-Naser Noor thanked the guest and his colleagues and handed him the University Shield. The Dean also thanked, Dr. Maher Al-Horani, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the University and the President of the University for supporting and encouraging Faculties to hold such meetings.
