A lecture entitled “Quality in Health Care” at Al-Ahliyya Amman University

Within the extracurricular activities held by Al-Ahliyya Amman University, the Faculty of Nursing at Al-Ahliyya Amman University hosted a lecture entitled “Quality in Health Care in Hospitals” delivered by Dr. Raja’ Khater, Head of Security and Quality Division in Prince Hamzah Hospital. The lecture addressed the importance of quality in health institutions which is required to achieve quality standards in hospitals. Examples of the importance of accrediting hospitals and its impact on individuals and community health were demonstrated. The lecture also tackled the role of universities and colleges, especially health colleges, in preparing graduates who are able to keep abreast of developments in the concepts of quality and the importance of its application in practice. The meeting was attended by faculty members and students, who raised questions about the methods and standards of health care in hospitals. Dr. Raja Khater answered the questions raised.
