A Delegation from the Malaysian Embassy Visits AAU

Professor Sari Hamdan, our President, welcomed a delegation from the Malaysian Embassy, represented by Mr. Syed Mohsin Al-Kaf, Regional Head for the Middle East/North Africa, accompanied by Dr. Radzuwan Ab Rashid, Executive Director of the Malaysian Embassy in Jordan, and Ms. Noor Azlina Abdul Rahab Al-Din, Regional Executive Director for the Middle East and North Africa. The visit aimed to discuss avenues of cooperation between both parties. Also present were prof. Anas Al-Soud, Vice President for International Relations and Quality Affairs at AAU, and Ms. Reem Abid, Head of the Reputation and Communications Department. During the meeting, they explored potential collaborations in education, scientific research, and academic exchange between Malaysian universities and AAU. Both sides emphasized the importance of enhancing bilateral relations through student and research exchange programs, as well as joint conferences and workshops aimed at promoting knowledge and cultural understanding. Professor Sari Hamdan expressed his appreciation for collaborating with the Malaysian Embassy and Malaysian universities, reaffirming AAU's commitment to enhancing international partnerships that contribute to improving the quality of education and scientific research. Professor Sari Hamdan also highlighted his recent visit to Washington, D.C. last week, where AAU achieved a global ranking of 808 in the QS World University Rankings 2025 (range 801-850), leading among private universities in Jordan and ranking third overall among Jordanian universities, both public and private. Mr. Syed Mohsin Al-Kaf praised AAU's efforts in advancing higher education and expressed the Malaysian Embassy's readiness to support joint initiatives beneficial to both parties. At the conclusion of the meeting, both parties exchanged commemorative shields.
