A delegation from the International Studies Abroad visits Al-Ahliyya Amman University
Within the efforts of Al-Ahliyya Amman University and its administration which seek to achieve its vision to become a leading university not only in Jordan, but also in the region, and on the basis of its objectives related to attracting multicultural student body that fosters acquaintance, communication and understanding between different cultures, attracting students from outside the Arab world to teach them Arabic language and the Arab and Islamic culture, and presenting Jordan as a country of civilization, culture and science, Prof. Dr. Maher Saleem, President of Al-Ahliyya Amman University, received a delegation from the International Education Office, chaired by Professor Larry Bill. Several matters of interest to both parties were discussed during the meeting. Dr. Maher Saleem, President of the University, briefed the delegation on the University, its environment, and the constituent elements of the University environment which employs modern technologies in an integrated educational environment that is focused on students as the centre of the teaching and learning process. The delegation toured the various facilities of the University, during which it learnt about the available modern techniques and high quality infrastructure of the University. The visiting delegation was impressed by the modern techniques and highly developed teaching aid offered by the University to students. The delegation expressed its sincere thanks and great gratitude to Al-Ahliyya Amman University, represented by its President, for the warm reception and generous hospitality during their presence in Jordan. At the end of the meeting, the two sides exchanged commemorative shields.
