A Delegation from Al-Ahliyya Amman University visits St. Joseph Comprehensive High School in Zarqa

In order to complete the campaign of school visits organized by the Hospitality Management and Culinary Arts Program at Al-Ahliyya Amman University, Mr. Amin Al-Arda, Director of the Program, and Ms. Mays Al Kurdi, Marketing and PR Officer, visited St. Joseph Comprehensive High School in Zarqa, which is considered one of the private schools that is distinguished by its educational and administrative staff, where they met with Mr. Majid Al-Shahatit, General Supervisor of the school, where he expressed his thanks and gratitude to the university being the first private university in Jordan. This meeting complemented the university's role in spreading tourism awareness in schools and among students and teachers, where Mr. Amin Al-Arda provided a detailed explanation to the students of the eleventh and twelfth grades (Hotel Management Branch) on the program of Hospitality Management and Culinary Arts and talked in general about the reality of Jordanian tourism and its importance in supporting the economy as it is considered a main pillar and the second largest contributor to the kingdom's gross domestic product. He also mentioned the number of jobs provided by the sector, which is approximately 55,000 jobs in various tourism sectors. This meeting is considered to be the beginning of future cooperation opportunities between the university and the school.
