A delegation from AAU meets officials at the Qatari Ministry of Health

In a collaborative initiative, a delegation from our university held a constructive meeting with officials from the Qatari Ministry of Health. Chaired by Professor Montaha Gharabieh, the Dean of the Faculty of Nursing, and Professor Khaldoun Hamdan, the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, the delegation engaged in productive discussions with representatives from the Primary Health Care Corporation in Qatar. During the meeting, Prof. Gharabieh conveyed warm regards from Professor Sari Hamdan, our university president, to the representatives at the Ministry of Health in the state of Qatar. Professor Khaldoun Hamdan then delivered a comprehensive presentation spotlighting AAU, providing insights into its overall structure, and delving into specifics about the Faculty of Nursing. The presentation covered the Faculty's state-of-the-art facilities, cutting-edge laboratories, academic programs, specializations offered, and the hands-on nature of practical training. The purpose of the visit was to emphasize the focus on training master's students from the Faculty of Nursing. This specialized training would take place within the departments and directorates affiliated with the Qatari Ministry of Health, under the supervision of designated trainers in the same location. A thorough discussion ensued, addressing queries and questions from both sides. Representatives from the Primary Health Care Corporation commended the professionalism displayed in prior communications with the Qatari Ministry of Health. They particularly appreciated the inclusivity of attachments and detailed training evidence provided by the Faculty of Nursing. An agreement was solidified to kickstart the development of a memorandum of understanding, streamlining the training process for future terms. Post-session, the delegation embarked on a field tour at the Comprehensive Health Center, gaining firsthand familiarity with the array of services offered and exploring the diverse training opportunities available.
