A Cooperation Agreement between the AAU and the Russian State University of Physical Education, Sport, Youth and Tourism

The AAU signed a joint cooperation agreement with the Russian State University of Physical Education, Sport, Youth and Tourism, following the approval of the Council of Higher Education and Scientific Research to develop the specialization of Health and Physical Education in the AAU. The agreement provides for the accreditation of the Russian State University as an academic resource for the Department of Physical Education and to promote the scientific, cultural and sports exchange program between the two universities. Additionally, the agreement strives to support research projects, provide the Department of Physical Education of the AAU with qualified experts and trainers along with modern equipment, and undertake joint scientific research in this area. In a similar vein, the AAU will qualify sporting coaches to enrich the students with the latest training techniques. Similarly, the University endeavors to organize workshops and training courses for coaches and teachers, called by the both parties. The agreement was signed by the President of the Russian State University Prof. Dr. Tamara Mikhaylova, and the Dean of the Faculty of Graduate Studies and Scientific Research of the AAU Prof. Dr. Muath Al Hourani. At the conclusion of the visit to the Russian State University, Al Hourani presented the University Sheild of the AAU University to Prof. Dr. Mikhaylova.
