A Al-Ahliyya Amman University Conducts a Workshop on Standards of Quality Assurance in Higher Education Institutions

As a gesture of strengthening cooperation with the Higher Education Accreditation and Quality Assurance Commission, Al-Ahliyya Amman University hosted a work shop to spread and deepen the concepts and the culture of Quality at all levels. Under the patronage of president Sadeq Hamed, the University hosted Dr. Ahmed Mansour, Director of the Quality Assurance at the Accreditation Commission, and conducted a workshop on Standards of Quality Assurance in Higher Education Institutions on Thursday, 03/11/2016.Mr. Iyad Shaban, Vice President for Administrative Affairs, explained that these lectures which are at the forefront of a series of awareness lectures are not the first at the university to deal with the standards of quality assurance. He emphasized that the University's interest in quality assurance activities is the result of a continuous and sustained process over the years.Dr.Ahmed Mansour shed the lights on the procedures and standards of quality assurance for higher education institutions in Jordan .Then discussed the phases of quality assurance certification in terms of setting standards and applying them on self-assessment and external assessment of the institution with the purpose of ultimately reaching to the decision of Higher Education Accreditation and Quality Assurance Commission.At the end of the workshop, a discussion was opened and a dialogue took place between Dr. Mansour and the Deans, their Deputies and Assistants, Heads of Academic Departments and Directors of Departments.
