Bachelor


The Bachelor's program in Special Education aims to prepare and qualify special education teachers to work with children with special needs in various educational stages, especially in the kindergarten and primary stages, or in centers for children with special needs, and this may include institutions and charities that provide pedagogical services. The program includes skill-based courses, such as sign language for the deaf and braille for the blind.

Admission requirements of the Bachelor degree in the Special Education program include a High School Certificate or equivalent in the following:

Educational Objectives

  • Prepare outstanding specialists and teachers in the field of special education who have high professional competence, can provide quality education to their students, are committed to continuous professional development, and utilize technology, research, and recent studies to develop and improve their educational practices.
  • Provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to understand the characteristics and needs of individuals with special needs, and to design and implement innovative individualized education programs for them.
  • Promote critical thinking, creativity, research, evaluation skills, decision-making, communication, collaboration, self-learning, and professional development skills among students to keep pace with developments in special education and contribute to its advancement.
  • Foster awareness, positive social change, and commitment to professional and ethical standards in dealing with individuals with special needs.

  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of the fundamental concepts, principles, and theories in general education and special education.
  • Apply knowledge and theories specific to individuals with special needs to serve these groups.
  • Identify the latest trends, technologies, and innovations in the field of special education.
  • Apply research skills, educational assessment, critical and creative thinking to find innovative solutions to the problems and challenges faced.
  • Design, implement, and evaluate innovative personalized educational programs for individuals with special needs, using theoretical knowledge of their characteristics and needs, and employing assistive technology.
  • Apply the necessary measures for assessment, diagnosis, and analysis of strengths and weaknesses, utilizing research-based teaching methods in special education.
  • Manage and organize activities and projects that contribute to promoting a culture of acceptance of people with disabilities and respect for human diversity.
  • Demonstrate the ability to make appropriate decisions in specific contexts, based on the analysis of information and evaluation of the different relevant factors.
