A0917204 Advanced Pharmacology & Pharmacotherapy 3 This course is designed to provide advanced knowledge and skills in clinical therapeutics. Students will gain the necessary skills in order to optimize patient?s treatment and design an evidence based medicine individualized pharmacotherapeutic plan. The course will discuss treatment of choices, adding and adjusting medications and doses. Goals of treatment and monitoring strategies will be discussed for each disease and medications. This course will focus on cardiovascular, infectious, gastrointestinal, infectious and renal diseases.

A0917202 Advanced Pharmaceutical Technology 3 The course provides the student's knowledge on Drug development, Pharmaceutical & Biopharmaceutical considerations with covering the manufacturing process at different stages; Preformulating study, formulation stages and quality control of the final product. Covering Release Mechanisms and Advanced Pharmaceutical technology in Design & fabrications of Dosage forms like Three-dimensional printing (3DP) applications in pharmaceutical technology, Recent Technology and Tools Used to Characterize Coating, Modified capsule systems, IntelliCap system, Computational and Mathematical Modeling of the Film Coating Process, Process Analytical Technology (PAT), and Particulate carrier systems ( Liposomes, Phytosomes Niosomes, Cyclodextrins, Gold nanoparticles, Viral nanoparticles, nano micelles and Hydrogel). The students will work in groups on assignments in which they will address various issues relevant to Pharmaceutical Technology. The work will be finalized through oral presentations of these assignments; the best oral presentations will be awarded.
A0917106 Chemistry of Natural Products 2 This course provides graduate students with an advanced topics in Chemistry of Natural Products including phytochemical investigations of herbal products, biosynthetic pathways of natural products, phytochemical variation within a species, and modern chromatographic methods and techniques. In addition, discovering new lead compounds in pharmaceutical research and development, and the complex chemistry and pharmacology of herbal medicines will also be covered.

A0917101 Advanced Medicinal Chemistry 3 Students will attend advanced compulsory course work sessions including non-assessable introductory programs, and assessable coursework components relevant to medicinal chemistry. The coursework will be taught within the medicinal chemistry and practical theme. Students will undertake coursework study equivalent to a minimum 42 hours of contact which directly supports the study and discussion/and learning process related to the advance medicinal chemistry. The SAR/synthesis/ rational drug design/conventional/ strategies used in the design of chemotherapeutic and CVS agents

A0917220 Advanced Pharmaceutical Practice & Nutrition 3 The course will provide the students with the knowledge and skills needed to practice patient centered pharmaceutical care in a structured approach. In the course, we will discuss the need for pharmaceutical care and barriers to its implementation. In addition, the students will be trained on identification of drug related problems and the design of pharmacy care plan. The students will acquire the skills and proficiency needed for the assessment of nutritional status, nutritional deficiencies, energy requirements, and daily protein needs. The course will also introduce students to the concept and challenges of enteral and parenteral nutrition.
A0917211 Advanced Drug Delivery Systems 2 This course is designed to provide the students with a comprehensive understanding of different dosage forms that improve drug delivery to the human body based on biopharmaceutical and physicochemical aspects of the drug and will focus on novel pharmaceutical formulations used in drug delivery systems such as Sustained release dosage forms, Controlled release dosage forms, Microcapsules, microspheres, Nanoparticles (Polymeric nanoparticles), Liposomes, Niosomes, transfersome, Bioadhesive drug delivery systems, Transdermal drug delivery systems, and Implantable controlled drug delivery systems.

A0917210 Advanced Phytotherapy 2 The Advanced phytotherapy course is designed to provide students with a more robust and multi-disciplinary evidence-based approach to healthcare in herbalism and complementary and alternative medicine. The course focuses on training students to objectively to: 1. Asses the safety and efficacy of various complementary and alternative medicine modalities, rational phytotherapy and herbs-drugs interactions based on scientific evidence. 2. Introduce scientific rigor into understanding the mechanistic basis for CAM therapies such as acupuncture, and herbs supplements. 3. The rational use of Aromatherapy, volatile oils for medical uses and evaluation of safety, efficacy, and quality assurance will also be covered.
A0917219 Advanced Pharmaceutical Organic Chemistry 3 This course provides a comprehensive understanding of the structure, function and synthesis of advanced organic compounds, with a focus on their applications in drug discovery and development. Students will develop their problem-solving and critical-thinking skills through in-depth analysis of advanced topics in organic chemistry and pharmaceutical science.
