The course will focus on providing the students with relevant clinical experiences and competencies in a variety of health care settings utilizing the nursing process as a framework in providing the care for clients with neurological, endocrine, renal, multi-organ failure, trauma and their families. Students will also be expected to complete a range of clinical competencies throughout the course.
A0627103 Advanced Cardiorespiratory Care Nursing (1)/ Clinical* 1 This course provides the students with the opportunity to apply knowledge gained from the theory in the management of patients with complex cardiac and respiratory problems. Emphasis   is on delivering holistic, evidenced-based and culturally sensitive nursing care to critically ill patients and family using multidisciplinary approach. Students engage in physical assessment, interpretation of medical data, differential diagnoses, development and implementation of management plans, documentation in the medical record, and performing relevant procedures to the critically-ill adult- population.  The focus is on providing advanced care to clients with complex cardiovascular and respiratory illnesses.
A0627201 Advanced Cardiorespiratory Care Nursing (2) 2 This course builds on previous theoretical and clinical knowledge to prepare the student to provide specialized cardiorespiratory nursing care for patients and families with complex cardiorespiratory health problems. This course enables the students to integrate, at an advanced level, pathophysiology, assessment, diagnosis, and current research findings for the collaborative management of adult with critical and life-threatening cardiorespiratory health problems using advanced technology. Content includes respiratory failure, diffuse lung diseases and cardiovascular disorders. Emphasis is on prioritizing the care of patients with complex cardiorespiratory health problems in acute and critical health care settings.
A0617101 Research Methodology in Nursing 3 This course provides students with advanced and comprehensive knowledge of scientific research methods in terms of characteristics and uses. This course focuses on the process of constructive criticism and methodology and discussing the results of scientific research. The focus is on using scientific research to develop a database that can be used in practice. Through this course, the student applies the foundations and methods of scientific research by designing research projects in his field of specialization.
A0627203 Critical Care Nursing/system approach 2 This course focuses on the causes of multi-organ system dysfunction and the human responses to life threatening illness . Nursing care focused on restoring physiologic and psychological stability to the severely ill client will be explored. Core concepts of complex pathophysiology, current treatment modalities, and the role nurses perform when providing care to critically ill patients with neurological, endocrine, renal, multi-organ failure, trauma and end-of-life are discussed.
A0627102 Advanced Cardiorespiratory Care Nursing (1) 2 This course introduces the students to the principles and concepts of specialist cardiac and respiratory nursing. It focuses on care of the patient with cardiac and respiratory illnesses who requires interventional procedures and/or surgery. Students will be introduced to the structure and function of the cardiac and respiratory anatomy and physiology, pathophysiology of atherosclerosis, acute coronary syndrome, and respiratory diseases. Key clinical investigations including ECG and ABG interpretation will be covered in-depth, and students will gain a comprehensive understanding of various cardiac and respiratory interventions and the associated nursing care.
A0617102 Statistical Analysis in Nursing Research 3 This course focuses on providing students the knowledge of appropriate statistical methods (i.e. descriptive and inferential). This course includes students training on the use of statistical analysis software. This training will cover the following aspects including: data coding, entry, cleaning, and analysis. Also, students will be able to interpret and write up the results into one of the scientific report forms.
A0627104 Advanced Health Assessment theory* 1 This course provides students with advanced knowledge and skills of comprehensive physical examination for individuals. In this course, students will be trained on collecting comprehensive health history and assessing functions of human body systems to be used in writing an appropriate nursing diagnosis. Students are expected to use critical thinking and clinical decision making to develop a customized nursing care plan based on these findings.
A0627105 Advanced Health Assessment clinical* 1 This course provides students with advanced health assessment skills to perform comprehensive physical examination for a variety of clients to identify client?s health needs and illness status, and to plan, implement and evaluate appropriate holistic management. During laboratory/clinical experiences psychomotor skills and the use of advanced technologies will be developed , this course also enables the students to differentiate abnormal from normal findings using advanced assessment techniques such as  obtaining appropriate health history and performing physical examinations on adult patients with complex problems in a variety of critical  care settings, In addition, the course emphasizes proper documentation of data obtained and the development of appropriate plans of care.
A0627301 Advanced clinical training*** 0 Advanced clinical practice enables master students to further develop their advanced skills and innovate as advanced specialist through integration of knowledge of disease alterations and effective of health and nursing interventions. Students will practice in an acute and critical care settings for the development of clinical competence and clinical judgment in relation to cardiac and respiratory diseases by completing a comprehensive patient assessment, identification of treatment and management modalities based on an individual clinical presentation. In addition, students will expand their practice to understand altered physiological processes in relation to endocrine, neurological, renal and abdominal disease processes. Students will also debate the legal and professional influences the advanced practice role in the context of today?s healthcare system challenges.
A0627101 Advanced Pharmacology 2 This course focuses on students' learning of pharmacology concepts in the field of treating community-specific.
