Introduction:

Al-Ahliyya Amman University (AAU) upholds the principles of equity, inclusion, and diversity as fundamental pillars of its academic mission. Through the Equal Opportunity and Non-Discrimination Policy (PS_17_SDG04_3), the university ensures that all individuals students, faculty, staff, and community members enjoy equal access to education, employment, and university services without discrimination or bias.

1. National Workshop on Gender- and Age-Based Violence Study

The Psychological Care Center at Al-Ahliyya Amman University participated in a national workshop organized by the National Council for Family Affairs to present the mid-term results of a study on gender- and age-based violence among adolescents in Jordan.

Represented by Dr. Fidaa Abu Al-Khair, the center emphasized the importance of collaboration between academic, governmental, and civil society institutions to protect young people and promote inclusive and equitable education.

The workshop highlighted the role of the Psychological Care Center in supporting national action plans aimed at combating violence, enhancing psychological and social protection, and fostering a safe learning environment for adolescents.

2. Advanced Clinical Psychology Course on Dream Interpretation for Master’s Students

Al-Ahliyya Amman University (AAU), represented by its President, Prof. Sari Hamdan, signed a cooperation agreement with the National Council for Family Affairs (NCFA) to strengthen institutional collaboration in the fields of mental health, family support, and social well-being.

The agreement was coordinated through the Psychological Care Center and aims to develop joint training programs, awareness workshops, and research projects that enhance professional capacity and community health.

Through this partnership, AAU reaffirms its commitment to providing inclusive educational and psychological services that address the diverse needs of students and the wider community.

3. Artistic Excellence Scholarship for Inclusive Student Empowerment

Al-Ahliyya Amman University (AAU) honored its university choir for their outstanding performance at the Jerash Festival for Culture and Arts, recognizing their creativity and commitment to promoting Jordanian heritage.

During the ceremony, Dr. Maher Al-Hourani, Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees and Chairman of the Board of Directors, announced a 50% tuition scholarship for all choir members as a token of appreciation for their artistic excellence.

This initiative reflects AAU’s commitment to equal educational opportunities, recognizing talent and creativity as integral components of inclusive and holistic education.
