1. Deanship of Student Affairs 

Organizes free community lectures, training sessions, and awareness events open to the public in collaboration with various faculties. 

2. Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (CIE) 

The Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (CIE) at Al-Ahliyya Amman University plays a vital role in promoting open and inclusive learning opportunities in innovation, leadership, and entrepreneurship. The center regularly organizes public workshops, training programs, and open lectures that are accessible to students, graduates, and community members. 

The “Testimonials” section on the CIE’s official website highlights the impact of these public educational initiatives through success stories from participants who benefited from the center’s programs. By showcasing the experiences of graduates and entrepreneurs, the CIE demonstrates how AAU extends education beyond the campus to empower individuals with practical skills for sustainable career and business growth. 

This initiative aligns directly with SDG 4 (Quality Education) and Target 4.3, ensuring equal access to quality education and lifelong learning opportunities for all, while also supporting SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth). 

3. Higher Education Center (HEC) 

The Hourani e-Learning Center (HEC) at Al-Ahliyya Amman University regularly hosts public academic workshops and training sessions that focus on modern teaching methodologies, e-learning systems, and digital transformation in education. These events are open to faculty members, researchers, and non-student participants, aiming to enhance professional and academic skills through interactive learning environments. 

The photo shows HEC’s open educational workshops conducted on campus, where experts shared best practices in online teaching, instructional design, and innovative education technologies. By providing free and accessible training opportunities, the HEC reinforces the university’s dedication to lifelong learning, open knowledge exchange, and inclusive educational development, directly supporting SDG 4 (Quality Education) and Target 4.3. 

4. Teaching and Learning Center (TLC) 

The Teaching and Learning Center (TLC) at Al-Ahliyya Amman University conducts regular workshops and training courses led by educational experts to enhance teaching and learning skills. These events are open to faculty members, educators, and community participants interested in improving their pedagogical practices. 

The center’s initiatives aim to strengthen the quality of education through open-access professional development programs and interactive learning sessions. By organizing these free educational workshops, AAU promotes lifelong learning, knowledge sharing, and inclusive access to modern teaching methods, directly contributing to SDG 4 (Quality Education) and Target 4.3. 

5. AAU Participates in the Launch Ceremony of the "Wellness Ambassadors" Project 

The Sustainability and International Ranking Center at Al-Ahliyya Amman University organizes open public discussions and awareness events on sustainability and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The “Sustainability and SDGs Discussion Ring” is one of the center’s community outreach activities designed to foster dialogue, knowledge exchange, and collective reflection on the role of higher education in building a sustainable future. 

This public event encouraged participation from students, faculty, and community members, promoting awareness of the UN SDGs and the university’s sustainability initiatives. Through open-access discussions and educational engagement, AAU reinforces its commitment to SDG 4 (Quality Education) and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) by integrating sustainability learning and public participation in academic life. 

The student sustainability club aims to spread awareness to new freshmen student to promote and raise awareness about  sustainability through student to student interactions. 

1. Clinical Workshop on “Supportive Growth Care for At-Risk Newborns in Neonatal Intensive Care Units (NICUs)   

The Faculty of Nursing at Al-Ahliyya Amman University organized a specialized clinical workshop titled “Growth Supportive Care for At-Risk Newborns in Neonatal Intensive Care Units (NICUs)”. The workshop targeted clinical supervisors and healthcare practitioners, providing free and open educational development opportunities beyond the student body. 

Delivered by Effat Al-Maayta, an internationally certified trainer, and accredited by the Nursing Council for Continuing Professional Development (CPD), the session introduced the principles of growth supportive care, its benefits for neurodevelopmental and physiological outcomes, and its integration into clinical nursing practice. 

The interactive workshop combined scientific discussion, applied exercises, and simulation-based learning, allowing participants to practice developmental care in NICU settings. This initiative demonstrates AAU’s commitment to lifelong learning, community health education, and open access to professional training, directly contributing to SDG 4 (Quality Education), particularly Target 4.3, which emphasizes equal access to quality education for all. 

2. Pioneers in the Care of Patients with Memory Disorders” – Clinical and Educational Workshop  

Under the patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Muna Al-Hussein, Ambassador to Alzheimer’s Disease International, the Faculty of Nursing at Al-Ahliyya Amman University organized a national educational workshop titled “Pioneers in the Care of Patients with Memory Disorders.” 

The workshop was held in alignment with World Alzheimer’s Day and served as a public educational event aimed at developing the knowledge and clinical skills of healthcare professionals in Jordan. Participants included specialists, nurses, and health practitioners from the Ministry of Health, Royal Medical Services, major hospitals, and universities. 

Accredited by the Jordanian Nursing Council for Continuing Professional Development (CPD), the workshop provided theoretical and hands-on sessions on early diagnosis, family-centered care, psychosocial support, and modern educational approaches for memory disorder care. 

By engaging national stakeholders and providing open access to expert-led training, AAU demonstrated its commitment to lifelong learning, community health education, and inclusive quality education in line with SDG 4 (Quality Education) particularly Target 4.3 (equal access to quality education for all) and SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being) through promoting healthcare awareness and professional development. 

3. Your Comprehensive Guide to Patents and Intellectual Property Protection” – Educational Workshop  

The Business Incubator at Al-Ahliyya Amman University organized a specialized educational workshop titled “Your Comprehensive Guide to Patents and Intellectual Property Protection.” The workshop aimed to raise awareness among faculty members, researchers, and innovators about the significance of protecting intellectual rights and innovations. 

Speakers from the Patents Department and the Technology and Innovation Support Centers Unit (TISC) presented the legal and technical aspects of patent registration, protection mechanisms for inventors, and the role of technology centers in supporting access to international knowledge databases. 

The event included interactive discussions and Q&A sessions, attended by the Dean of the Deanship of Scientific Research, the Director of the Business Incubator, and faculty members from various disciplines. This workshop provided participants with essential knowledge on intellectual property management, fostering a culture of innovation and academic creativity. 

By providing this open-access educational session, AAU demonstrates its commitment to SDG 4 (Quality Education) specifically Target 4.3, which promotes equal access to quality education for all and to SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure) by supporting research-driven innovation and intellectual property awareness. 

4. Using Artificial Intelligence Tools to Enter the Job Market” – Training Workshop 

The Business Incubator at Al-Ahliyya Amman University, in collaboration with the Crown Prince Foundation – Al-Balqa Office, organized a specialized training workshop titled “Using Artificial Intelligence Tools to Enter the Job Market.” The event was attended by over 60 students from the Faculties of Artificial Intelligence, Information Technology, Business, and Architectural Design, along with faculty and administrative staff. 

Delivered by Mohammad Al-Hayasat, an expert in employability skills, the workshop introduced participants to the practical use of AI-powered tools, prompt engineering, and large language models to enhance their employability and professional readiness. It emphasized how AI technologies can be leveraged to build modern CVs, improve productivity, and prepare for digital-age careers. 

By offering this free, skill-based educational event, AAU supports lifelong learning, digital transformation, and career development, aligning directly with SDG 4 (Quality Education) particularly Target 4.3 on inclusive access to education and professional training and SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth) by empowering youth to adapt to the changing labor market. 

5. Awareness Event on Child and Newborn Safety – Change Day 2025 

The Faculty of Nursing at Al-Ahliyya Amman University organized an awareness and educational event to celebrate Change Day 2025, the national initiative launched under the patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Muna Al Hussein in cooperation with the Health Care Accreditation Council (HCAC). 

This year’s theme focused on child and newborn safety, highlighting the importance of providing safe and high-quality healthcare from the earliest stages of life. The event engaged faculty members, nursing students, and healthcare professionals in interactive awareness activities and educational campaigns aimed at promoting health and safety practices. 

The Faculty of Nursing has participated in this national initiative for twelve consecutive years, reaffirming its long-term commitment to community health promotion, disease prevention, and education for sustainable well-being. Through these continuous outreach activities, AAU contributes directly to SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being), SDG 4 (Quality Education), and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) by integrating health education, professional training, and social responsibility into academic life.
