Public Events (4.3.2)

Hosting educational events open to the public, such as community lectures and learning sessions.

Introduction:

Al-Ahliyya Amman University (AAU) actively fulfills its commitment to SDG 4 – Quality Education by regularly hosting public educational events that are freely open to all members of society. These events aim to extend learning opportunities beyond the university’s enrolled students, engaging the local community, professionals, educators, and youth in meaningful educational experiences.

AAU’s public events include community lectures, workshops, forums, seminars, and awareness campaigns covering a wide range of topics such as sustainability, mental health, entrepreneurship, digital literacy, scientific research, and lifelong learning. Each event is designed to promote open access to knowledge, encourage dialogue between academia and society, and foster a culture of continuous learning.

Through its Deanship of Student Affairs, various faculties, and specialized centers such as the Sustainability & Global Ranking Center, the Higher Education Center (HEC), and the Teaching and Learning Center (TLC)the university provides a consistent platform for free educational engagement. These initiatives reflect AAU’s strategic mission to make education accessible, inclusive, and impactful by addressing societal needs through knowledge-sharing and community participation.

By opening its lectures, training sessions, and awareness events to the public, AAU supports Target 4.3 (equal access to quality education) responsibility.
