Collaborations with local, national, and global health institutions to enhance health and well-being outcomes
Health Collaborations (3.3.1)
Introduction:
Al-Ahliyya Amman University (AAU) actively builds and sustains collaborative partnerships with local, national, and international health institutions to advance SDG 3 – Good Health and Well-being. These collaborations serve as a cornerstone of AAU’s community engagement and research strategy, ensuring that academic expertise translates into tangible health outcomes for society.
The university’s partnerships include formal memoranda of understanding (MoUs), joint research projects, clinical training programs, professional workshops, and community-based medical initiatives. Through collaboration with hospitals, public health authorities, non-governmental organizations, and international agencies, AAU strengthens healthcare delivery systems and contributes to evidence-based policy development.
Each collaboration is guided by clear objectives and measurable indicators such as the number of participants, beneficiaries, and outreach activities. These initiatives address national health priorities including disease prevention, maternal and child health, mental health, and healthy aging. The Sustainability & Global Ranking Center monitors, documents, and publicly reports all such partnerships to ensure transparency and accountability.
By integrating academic research, professional training, and community service, AAU’s collaborations generate long-term social value, improve access to healthcare, and enhance overall well-being at both local and global levels. This institutional commitment demonstrates the university’s strategic leadership in advancing SDG 3 while simultaneously supporting SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities), and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).
