Welcome to the Language Center at Al-Ahliyya Amman University, operating under the Faculty of Arts and Sciences. The Language Center serves as a vital academic unit that supports students across all disciplines by enhancing their linguistic competence and promoting effective communication in a multilingual and globally connected environment. The Center has recently expanded its facilities with newly equipped classrooms and state-of-the-art language laboratories designed to support interactive and technology-enhanced language learning. These modern learning spaces are equipped with advanced audio-visual systems, smart boards, and specialized language-learning software that allow students to develop their speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills in an immersive and engaging setting. The Language Center offers a diverse range of language courses aimed at enhancing students’ linguistic proficiency and communicative competence. These courses focus on developing practical language skills in English, German, and Chinese, equipping students with the abilities needed for academic, professional, and intercultural contexts. In addition, the Center provides Arabic language programs for non-native speakers, welcoming learners from different countries and cultural backgrounds. These programs are carefully designed to address varying proficiency levels and to support students in developing effective communication skills in Arabic while fostering cultural understanding. English language certificates issued by the Language Center are officially certified by the Ministry of Education. In addition, the Center is an approved testing center authorized to administer the TOEFL exam, further reinforcing its commitment to international standards of language assessment and academic quality. Instruction at the Language Center is supported by the integration of modern educational technologies and carefully selected artificial intelligence–supported tools. These technologies are used to enhance personalized learning, provide immediate feedback, support autonomous practice, and promote active student engagement through multimedia content and interactive platforms.
