The establishment of the Hourani Center for Applied Scientific Research (HCASR) aims to boost quality research output and entrepreneurial activities at the university. HCASR serve as a focal point for scholarly activity and intellectual innovation, as well as a point of touch for securing research funding in multidisciplinary areas. HCASR seeks to facilitate the development of new research initiatives that cut across traditional disciplinary boundaries by bringing together researchers from different disciplines around emerging areas of study, by providing consultation, financial support, shared, accessible infrastructure, and services. HCASR encourages to have inter or multi-disciplinary faculty collaboration as well as inter-institutional - collaboration between multiple universities (Internationally).
