Research on early years and lifelong learning education

Introduction:

Al-Ahliyya Amman University (AAU) places research on education at the heart of its academic mission and sustainability strategy. Recognizing education as a key driver of social and economic development, the university actively promotes high-quality, evidence-based research that contributes to improving teaching, learning, and educational policy at both national and international levels.

AAU’s research agenda in education focuses on enhancing pedagogical innovation, curriculum design, learning assessment, and educational technology integration. Faculty members and graduate researchers work collaboratively to explore new models of student-centered learning, digital transformation in education, inclusive practices for learners with diverse needs, and the alignment of academic programs with the labor market’s evolving demands.

Through its Deanship of Scientific Research and specialized academic departments, AAU supports applied and interdisciplinary studies that link theory with practice, addressing contemporary challenges in education systems. Research outputs are regularly published in peer-reviewed journals and presented at international conferences, reflecting the university’s growing contribution to the global discourse on educational reform and sustainable development.

Moreover, AAU’s commitment to educational research extends beyond academia—it shapes policy recommendations, informs teacher training programs, and fosters innovation in both formal and non-formal learning environments. This strong research culture ensures continuous improvement in educational quality and accessibility, reinforcing the university’s leadership role in advancing SDG 4: Quality Education within Jordan and across the Arab region.
