Introduction: 

Al-Ahliyya Amman University (AAU) actively contributes to advancing SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth) and SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities) through a growing body of academic research focused on economic development, fair labour practices, entrepreneurship, and inclusive workforce systems. 
The university recognizes that the foundation of equitable economic growth lies in understanding and addressing the structural factors that create disparities in income, employment opportunities, access to education, gender equity, and labour protection. 

AAU’s research agenda integrates multidisciplinary approaches spanning business, economics, human rights, technology, and sustainability to generate evidence-based insights that inform policy, strengthen labour markets, and enhance social inclusion. Faculty researchers actively explore themes such as fair wages, labour rights, gender pay equity, anti-discrimination mechanisms, forced labour prevention, workplace well-being, digital transformation in labour markets, youth employability, sustainable entrepreneurship models, and economic resilience in emerging markets. 

Through collaborations with national institutions, private-sector organizations, international universities, and human rights agencies, AAU promotes a research ecosystem that bridges academic knowledge with real-world labour challenges. The research outputs contribute to Jordan’s national strategies, support public policy development, and advance global academic discourse on decent work and reduced inequalities.
