1.3 Linking Rubrics with Course Learning Outcomes (CLOs)
To maximize transparency and remove bias, grading rubrics must link cleanly back to established Course Learning Outcomes (CLOs). Instructors evaluate behaviors against specific criteria: safe medication administration (Safety); professional bedside communication (Patient-Centered Care); and accurate electronic charting (Informatics). This ensures that formative and summative feedback directly reflects the programmatic standard.
