AAU is a large provider of successful enabling pathway programs, and we continue to widen our participation and access initiatives. To accommodate for equity student enrolments at AAU, a number of flagship programs that encourage access and student success have been developed, ranging from pre-access activities through to the completion of the student’s undergraduate degree.
OUTREACH ACTIVITIES
AAU’s Outreach team operates a number of activities to ensure that individuals from local communities, Ethnic Tribes, Minority Groups, Refugee Communities regardless of their background, have the opportunity to access higher education. We work with students focusing on lifelong learning and engagement with education. The key programs of the department are:
Camps to Class:
AAU partnering with international organisation like EDU-Suriya, HOPES, UNHCR etc. reach out to the refugee camps and create awareness and financial support for the opportunity to access or continue higher education. The Training and Capacity Building programs provides tailor-made support and funding for innovative short-term education projects for the refugees. These projects aim to address the specific needs of students and to alleviate bottlenecks related to access to further and higher education, the completion of studies and labor market preparation.
Fortune is not a barrier for Education:
Al-Ahliyya Amman university every semester provides several full scholarships for the under privileged and low income minority communities in order to enable them to have access to the higher education irrespective of the financial status of the Family. University reserve special financial assistance for different communities such as Ethic minorities, Refugee Communities, Local Communities, Orphans, Disabled etc.
