About the Animal House
The Animal House at the Center for Pharmaceutical and Diagnostic Research (PDRC) is a state-of-the-art facility operated according to Specific Pathogen-Free (SPF) standards. It is specifically designed to support high-quality, ethically compliant biomedical and preclinical studies.
The facility provides a controlled environment for various animal species, including BALB/c mice, nude mice, rats, and rabbits, with specialized rooms for both immunocompetent and immunocompromised models.
The air systems are equipped with HEPA filters that perform 15 air changes per hour, ensuring a contaminant-free environment that enhances both animal welfare and the integrity of scientific research.
