Participation Conditions

Students from Jordanian universities are allowed to participate in this competition according to the following conditions:

  • The project must have a technological nature, providing technological solutions to problems in various fields, in line with the approved themes/axes of the festival.
  • There must be at least one academic supervisor for the project.
  • No more than two years must have passed since the completion of the project from the date of the festival.
  • The project must not have participated in the previous edition of the festival and qualified for the second stage.
  • The number of participating students per project must be between 2 and 6 students.

1. Content Requirements:
  • Concise Summary: provide a high-level overview, not a detailed report.
  • Structure: The (objectives, methodology, key findings, conclusions) are the standard elements of any research or project summary.
  • Length: The 2-3 paragraph, 300 word limit is common style to ensure reviewers can quickly grasp the project's essence.

2. Track Selection Guidance:

  • Consult your supervisor before choosing. Their experience is key to understanding where your project best fits.
  • Select your single best track. Only use the option for a maximum of two tracks if you are genuinely uncertain after consultation.

Important Note:
Please include the following parts in your submitted report. You may add other parts if needed.


Abstract

Provide a concise summary (i.e. 2-3 paragraphs of up to 300 words) of the entire project, including its objectives, methodology, key findings, and conclusions without delving into too many technical details.

 

Introduction

Introduce the project topic, its relevance, and the problem statement that the project aims to address. You may also outline the objectives and goals of the project, giving readers a context for understanding the rest of the report.

 

Background and Related Work

Provide some context about the problem, and why it is important and where it is used. This should not be tied to your solution. Also, summarize the related work done by others in the field, highlighting similarities, differences, and gaps that your project seeks to address.

 

Design Details

Provide a detailed figure of your solution, describing the interaction between the components in detail and how it works. Explain the rationale behind your design choices and how they contribute to achieving the project's objectives. For each part of the solution, put it in the context of the overall system or solution – where does it fit, what is its functionality?

 

Implementation Details

Describe how your project was implemented or executed, including software, hardware, tools, and technologies used. Provide enough detail for readers to understand how the project was put into practice and any challenges faced during implementation.

 

Experiments and Results

Summarize your findings and experimental results. It is good if you can show some comparative result, with prior work.

 

Conclusion and Future Work

Summarize (i.e. 3-4 paragraphs) the key findings of your project and how they address the problem statement. Discuss the implications of your results and any limitations of the project. Additionally, outline potential future work or areas for further investigation that stem from your project's outcomes.

 

References

List all the sources, such as books, articles, papers, websites, and other materials, that you cited or referenced throughout the project report. Follow a consistent citation style, such as APA.

Video Submission Guideline


Teams are required to submit a video link that adheres to the following guidelines:

Upload your video to YouTube or any similar video-sharing platform (e.g., Vimeo, Dailymotion).

Ensure that the video is set to "Public" so that it can be accessed by the review committee.

The video must not exceed 2 minutes in length.

 

Content Overview:

Begin with a brief introduction that outlines the project’s purpose and objectives. This should provide viewers with a clear understanding of what your project aims to achieve.

Highlight the unique features or innovations of your project.

Include a demonstration of your project or prototype (this is very important and essential for evaluation.

Conclude with a summary of key findings or results.

 

Additional Tips:

 

Clarity and Quality:

Ensure that the video is clear, with good audio and visual quality. Engagement: Aim to make your presentation engaging and informative. Use visuals, such as slides or graphics, to enhance understanding and maintain viewer interest.

Editing: Edit your video to eliminate any unnecessary content and to ensure a smooth flow of information.
