HEARING CLINICS

The Clinic was established and licensed by the Ministry of Health to serve the local community need and to train the students of the Audiology and speech program, to serve the community appropriately.

The center consists of several clinics fully equipped with the latest devices and tools necessary to evaluate and diagnose hearing and balance disorders; designed with the highest levels of comfort, privacy, and highest levels of safety and protection for the cases and their families.

Clinics are sound isolated to improve the efficiency and accuracy of the tests, designed by Jordanian experts specialized in the field of sound isolation, in accordance with international specifications.

Clinics are equipped to assess adults and children.

Results of assessments and diagnosis are discussed with the parents confidentially in the counselling rooms with the presence of students to improve educational competency and provide them with variable cases for various experiences.

The center contains a full laboratory equipped with the latest devices and equipment needed to make ear impression, manufacture molds for hearing aids and earplugs.

Hearing assessments includes:

• Otoscope, Video Otoscope.
• Pure Tone audiometry for adults.
• Visual Reinforcement Audiometry (VRA)
• Play Audiometry for children
• Auditory Brainstem Response (ABR)
• Middle Ear Analyzer
• Otoacoustic Emission (OAE)
• Special tests to identify site of lesion.
• Hearing evaluation with hearing aids or cochlear implant
• Balance evaluation and rehabilitation
• Hearing aids test box
