I am pleased to welcome you to the Deanship of Scientific Research at Al-Ahliyya Amman University. The Deanship aims at encouraging and promoting academic staff and students to augment their distinguished, purposeful, scientific research, which is published in scientific notable regional, national and international journals. In addition to offering training workshops and research-based forums and facilitating research services for scholars, the deanship works on implementing the decisions of the Scientific Research Council and ensuring the proper implementation of scientific research policies and procedures. Since there is no greater achievement than that that benefits others, many awards and incentives that aim at promoting and encouraging scholars to conduct distinguished scientific research are offered by the Deanship. These awards and incentives are embodied by supporting research projects that serve to achieve the goals of national research priorities and sustainability in Jordan through collaborating with international research establishments, providing the academic staff with financial support to attend international conferences, granting awards for academic publications and for prominent citation records, covering the journals’ publication fees, granting awards for distinguished researchers and awards for research based on theses or dissertations in addition to other motivational awards. The Deanship has proudly been issuing Al-Balqa Journal for Research and Studies since 1991. The journal has published (26) volumes until 2023. It is a bi-annually, international, indexed, refereed journal. The journal is indexed in Ebsco host, Google scholar, J-Gate, Semantic scholar, dar almandumah, e-marefa, shamaa, Digital commons and crossref. It has a high academic level and is well- known regionally as well as internationally. Al-Balqa Journal has its own independent editorial board of members as well as reviewers who are from various Arab countries.The deanship of scientific research also works on reviewing and translating books written by the academic staff in addition to the regular review for the international journals.
