Interdisciplinary Research Committee

The Interdisciplinary Research Committee consists of specialized members representing various academic and administrative fields to ensure coordinated research efforts and foster multidisciplinary innovation. Its mission is to:

Develop the university's interdisciplinary research strategy, enhance its culture, evaluate the current state of research, propose development pathways, organize specialized capacity-building workshops, recommend the formation of interdisciplinary research teams, and assess proposed interdisciplinary topics in line with the university’s research priorities and strategic plan.

Committee Members and Their Main Tasks:

  1. Dean of Scientific Research – Chair Prof. Dr. Ahmad Samed Al-Adwan Leads the university's transition to interdisciplinary research, develops policies and plans, and ensures the integration of funding and institutional support for research initiatives.
  2. Director of the Center for Sustainability and Global Rankings Dr. Ahmed Moh’d Mansour Aligns interdisciplinary research outcomes with sustainable development goals and global ranking indicators, providing analytical and evaluative support.
  3. Researcher in Engineering and Technology Prof. Dr. Ghada Alhudhud Develops integrated approaches that combine technology and engineering in interdisciplinary research, while supporting the creation of applied models based on technological solutions.
  4. Researcher in Arts and Humanities Prof. Dr. Linda Alkhawaja Reinforces the human and cultural dimensions of interdisciplinary research, enhancing the interaction between applied and social sciences in addressing societal issues.
  5. Researcher in Physical Sciences and Mathematics Dr. Osama Oqilat Integrates quantitative analysis methodologies and physical theories into interdisciplinary projects, providing methodological support to research teams.
  6. Researcher in Business and Economics Dr. Rasha Alqawasmeh Incorporates economic frameworks into interdisciplinary research and analyzes the financial and developmental aspects of research challenges.
  7. Researcher in Health Sciences Dr. Hamdi Al Nsairat Enhances the integration between health sciences and other fields, guiding interdisciplinary research toward impactful health solutions.
  8. Researcher in Psychology and Education Dr. Najla Mash'al Brings the behavioural and cognitive dimensions to interdisciplinary research and assesses the social and educational impact of research outputs.
  9. Head of the Research Partnerships and Scientific Collaboration Office Dr. Fayrouz Abousweilem Activates multi-stakeholder research partnerships and coordinates joint projects both locally and internationally within the interdisciplinary framework.
  10. Industry Expert/Representative of the Private Sector Dr. Ghazi Jaber Directs interdisciplinary research toward industrial applications, ensuring alignment with market needs and value chains.
  11. Researcher in Law Lecturer Tariq AlHasan Analyzes legal and legislative dimensions in interdisciplinary research and ensures compliance with institutional and regulatory frameworks.
  12. Interdisciplinary Research Funding and Support Unit Nagham Anabousi Manages funding processes and grant applications, ensuring sustained financial support for priority interdisciplinary projects.
  13. Scientific Publishing and Research Communication Unit Suzan Alzubi Oversees the publication of interdisciplinary research and develops a communication strategy to enhance academic visibility both locally and internationally.
  14. Graduate Student Representative Student Batool Al-Hurani Empowers graduate students to actively participate in interdisciplinary projects and ensures their perspectives are integrated into research planning and implementation.
