The Engineering and Maintenance Department was established at the inception of the university and was among the first departments responsible for creating and operating the university’s infrastructure, ensuring its readiness for academic work. From the beginning, the department took on the tasks of engineering supervision of buildings and facilities and their preparation, in addition to carrying out regular and emergency maintenance work for all electrical, mechanical, and structural systems on campus. The department also played an important role in monitoring the requirements of accreditation committees related to public safety, building efficiency, and equipping facilities to ensure a safe and integrated educational environment for students. Looking ahead, the department aims to continue developing operation and maintenance systems, enhancing cooperation with various colleges and departments, and elevating the level of engineering services in line with modern advancements in university facility management.
