Tourism is a powerful engine for the global economy and is driving the development and prosperity of many developing countries by providing millions of job opportunities and creating new jobs to meet the rapid growth in global tourism. The Jordanian tourism sector is the second largest contributor to the Kingdom’s gross national product and provides approximately 55 thousand jobs in various tourism sectors, of which approximately 77% work in hotels and restaurants.
