1.1 Guidelines and Policies

The orientation program provides participants with a comprehensive introduction to Lippincott Procedures and Lippincott Advisor, focusing on how to efficiently access, navigate, and apply these evidence-based clinical resources to support safe, high-quality patient care and informed clinical decision-making. The program also includes a thorough review of the institution's clinical policies and guidelines, ensuring that participants understand the standards, protocols, and best practices required for consistent and compliant clinical practice. In addition, participants receive an overview of the Nursing Code of Ethics, emphasizing the professional values, ethical principles, responsibilities, and accountability that guide nursing practice and foster compassionate, patient-centered care. Furthermore, the orientation introduces the organization's disciplinary policies and resolution procedures, outlining expectations for professional conduct, reporting mechanisms, and the processes used to address performance concerns, resolve workplace issues fairly, and maintain a safe, respectful, and professional clinical environment.
