PMO - Technical Manager/ Saudi Binladen Group - SBG

Graduation Year: 2007

Faculty: Faculty of Architecture and Design

After graduating from Al-Ahliyya Amman University with a degree in Interior Design in 2007, I began my professional journey in the construction industry, gaining practical experience in design coordination and project execution. Through continuous professional development and involvement in major projects, I gradually expanded my expertise to include project management, technical leadership, and Project Management Office (PMO) functions, ultimately progressing to my current role as PMO & Technical Office Manager.

My proudest professional achievement is not a single milestone, but the journey of continuous growth from an Interior Design graduate to a leadership role overseeing PMO and Technical Office functions across some of the largest and most complex projects in Saudi Arabia. Throughout my career, I have had the opportunity to contribute to landmark projects, including King Abdulaziz International Airport, the Haramain High-Speed Railway, the Mataf Expansion Project at the Grand Mosque, and King Fahd Sports City, in addition to major hospitality developments in Makkah, including the Makkah Clock Towers.

Among my key professional achievements are earning the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, leading project management, project controls, and technical management teams, and building a career that combines technical expertise, project management, strategic planning, and stakeholder engagement. These capabilities have enabled me to contribute to the successful delivery of high-impact projects.

One of the main challenges I faced throughout my career was expanding beyond a single discipline and successfully navigating the transition across design, construction, and technical management. I overcame these challenges through continuous learning, hard work, and determination, viewing each obstacle as an opportunity to grow, develop new skills, and broaden my professional experience.

Al-Ahliyya Amman University played a significant role in establishing the academic and professional foundation upon which I built my career. My university experience extended beyond earning a degree; the support of my professors, practical projects, student experiences, and the University’s progressive learning environment helped shape my character and professional mindset. These formative years laid the groundwork for my journey from design to construction, technical management, project management, and leadership. I remain deeply grateful for the lasting impact of this experience on my professional life.

My advice to Al-Ahliyya Amman University students and recent graduates is simple: Your future will not be defined by where you start, but by your commitment to learning, growing, and creating value throughout your professional journey.

Looking ahead, I aspire to continue making a meaningful impact in construction, project management, and technical leadership. Beyond contributing to the successful delivery of projects, I hope to mentor and develop young professionals by sharing my knowledge and experience. One of my long-term ambitions is to return to my home country, Jordan, and contribute to its development by applying the knowledge, expertise, and lessons I have gained throughout my international career.
