CEO and Founder of Winchester Academic Consultency
Graduation Year: 1999
Faculty: Business School
My professional journey spans more than 26 years in higher education and Jordanian universities. I began my career at Al-Ahliyya Amman University, where I joined the university immediately after graduation. I served as Head of the Public Relations and Marketing Department and contributed to establishing the King Abdullah II Fund for Development. This experience provided me with a strong foundation in institutional communication, university marketing, enhancing institutional visibility, and student engagement.
I later joined the American University of Madaba, where I contributed to establishing the King Abdullah II Fund for Development and founding the Presidency Department, serving as its Director for more than eight years. During this period, I supported executive decision-making, strengthened institutional coordination, developed communication channels with stakeholders, and contributed to improving university services. I also chaired several committees responsible for graduation ceremonies, tenders, recruitment, evaluation, marketing, and events. These responsibilities further strengthened my expertise in strategic planning, team leadership, process improvement, and institutional performance.
One of my most significant professional achievements was founding Winchester Academic Consulting, licensed by Jordan’s Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. Through the company, I draw on my professional experience to help universities strengthen their institutional visibility, develop communication and community engagement channels, expand student outreach, and enhance student services. I also guide students in choosing universities and academic programmes that align with their abilities, interests, and aspirations, helping them make informed academic decisions and plan their futures with confidence.
Throughout my career, I have faced challenges arising from differences in management approaches and institutional cultures across the universities where I worked, as well as the need to balance competing priorities and perspectives. I addressed these challenges through active listening, continuous learning, clear planning, open dialogue, and teamwork. The transition from institutional employment to entrepreneurship brought new challenges that I approached with determination, careful planning, and the knowledge and experience I had gained over the years.
I take great pride in the role Al-Ahliyya Amman University played in shaping my professional journey. It gave me the opportunity to translate my academic background into practical experience, while the responsibilities I undertook helped develop my leadership and management skills and strengthen my abilities in communication, planning, and decision-making. The values I gained through my studies and professional experience at the university—including discipline, critical thinking, time management, accountability, and teamwork—continue to guide my work today.
My advice to current students and recent graduates is to pursue opportunities that align with their values and ambitions, continue developing their skills, and recognise that a distinguished career is built over time through integrity, perseverance, and meaningful contributions. It is not necessary to have every step of the future planned from the beginning; what matters most is starting with a clear purpose and remaining open to learning and growth.
Looking ahead, I aspire to develop Winchester Academic Consulting into a trusted regional partner for students and universities by expanding partnerships in Jordan and abroad, strengthening international student recruitment, improving institutional outreach and services, and making reliable academic guidance accessible to a wider range of students. Through these efforts, I hope to create lasting opportunities for students and contribute to the continued development of higher education.
My Message to Students and Graduates
“Choose opportunities that align with your values and ambitions. A distinguished career is built over time through integrity, perseverance, and meaningful contributions. You do not need to have every step planned—start with purpose, keep developing your abilities, and be ready to grow.”
