Engineer Shorouq Abdul Ghani is regarded as one of the distinguished national talents in the fields of strategic planning, institutional development, and governance. She brings over 19 years of professional experience in the public sector, during which she has held numerous leadership and managerial positions and achieved qualitative accomplishments that enhanced institutional efficiency and reinforced a culture of excellence and innovation. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering from
Al-Ahliya Amman University, awarded in 2011.
She holds a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering and earned a Master's degree in Public Administration from Al-Ahliya Amman University in 2019, enabling her to combine an engineering background with modern administrative methodologies in advancing institutional performance. She served as Director of Planning and Institutional Development at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, where she led the preparation and updating of strategic plans. She also contributed to strengthening bilateral cooperation with international, regional, and local entities, in addition to developing organizational structures, modernizing government services, documenting and simplifying procedures, and embedding institutional innovation concepts in line with global best practices.
Engineer Shorouq currently serves as a Board Member of the Central Electricity Generating Company and previously served as a Board Member of the Jordan Standards and Metrology Organization, reflecting national institutions’ confidence in her leadership expertise and professional competence. She is also a certified trainer in strategic planning, governance, operations and service management, government accelerators, and innovation management. She has been selected to participate in several prestigious leadership programs, including the Civil Service Development Program and the Public Services Excellence for Leaders in Jordan Program, in addition to training at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst and participation in the Government Leadership Qualification Program. Engineer Shorouq has also contributed to specialized national task forces, including the Governance Team, the Individual-to-Institutional Performance Alignment Team, and evaluation teams for entities shortlisted for the Arab Government Excellence Award.
Engineer Shorouq Abdul Ghani has represented Jordan at numerous international conferences and meetings. She is an ambassador for the international Women Energize Women program supporting women’s empowerment and has made impactful contributions and initiatives to advance and empower women across various sectors.
