Dr. Nasser Abdulhaleem Mohammed Al-Salamat
Head of a Judicial Panel at the Court of Appeal
Graduation Year: 1994
Faculty: Faculty of Law
My professional journey began in the legal profession as a lawyer before I moved into the judiciary, where I gradually advanced through several judicial positions that shaped my legal expertise and professional experience. I served as a Magistrate Court Judge, Public Prosecutor, Assistant Attorney General, Court of First Instance Judge, and Judge at the State Security Court, before becoming an Appeal Court Judge. I currently serve as the Head of a Judicial Panel at the Court of Appeal in Amman, Jordan.
Alongside my judicial responsibilities, I have contributed to legal education and professional development through teaching at the Judicial Institute and several law faculties, training judges, and participating in the preparation of more than 25 training manuals. These activities reflect my commitment to sharing legal knowledge and supporting the development of professional practices within the judicial system.
Academically, I hold two doctoral degrees: one in Criminal Law and the other in Administrative Law. These qualifications reflect my dedication to advanced legal studies and to expanding my expertise across different areas of law. I am proud to be an alumnus of Al-Ahliyya Amman University, where I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Law under the guidance of distinguished professors. My university experience played an important role in shaping my character and establishing the academic foundation for my judicial and academic career.
I believe that success in the legal profession requires more than theoretical knowledge; it also depends on practical application and the ability to connect academic learning with real-world experience. I therefore encourage law students and graduates to focus on practical training and develop their professional skills alongside their academic studies.
Looking ahead, I aspire to continue teaching at law faculties and publishing academic research on emerging legal issues, contributing to the advancement of legal knowledge and the development of judicial practice.
