The Psychology Program was established in 1990 with the foundation of the university. Where students are provided with theoretical and applied frameworks for psychological specializations (industrial, experimental, clinical, counseling, and scientific research), through multiple courses, and field training at the Counseling and Special Education Center at the university, in addition to governmental and private institutions and organizations. There are diverse career options available to psychology graduates, Past Al-Ahliyya Amman University students work in mental and general health settings, business and industry, education, media, marketing, and research. The Psychology Program awards a Bachelors degree in Psychology.

Admission requirements of the Bachelor degree in the Clinical Psychology program include a High School Certificate or equivalent in the following:

  1. Developing theoretical and practical expertise to understand and interpret human behavior in light of the various fields of clinical psychology.
  2. Developing the research skills necessary to conduct research and studies in various fields of clinical psychology and linking them to the needs of society.
  3. Contributing to addressing psychological issues in society.
  4. Strengthening partnerships with local community institutions interested in psychological fields.
  5. Empowering students and preparing them to work in mental health centers.
