In line with the Al-Ahliyya Amman University mission to provide excellence in teaching, learning and academic research with a high quality of international standards. The faculty of pharmacy and medical sciences decided to develop a new curriculum ended with a degree in medical laboratory sciences. This program will provide advanced education and research opportunities to exceptional students by providing a research environment that fosters collaboration, creative thinking and eventually publishing their work in nationally and internationally recognized journals.
This MSc program will start according to the instructions, rules & regulations of the faculty of postgraduate studies at Al-Ahliyya Amman University.
The MSc program medical laboratory sciences students will be involved in many advanced clinical courses including: Hematology, Microbiology, Immunology &Serology, Biochemistry, Diagnostic molecular biology, Laboratory managements, Research methodology & Biostatistics. After a successful finishing 25 credit hours, the postgraduate student will be able to pursue his MSc thesis of original research (9 credit hours, accordingly finishing 34 credit hours).
The discipline of the thesis can be in one of the Medical Laboratory Diagnosis disciplines. Such as clinical microbiology, clinical hematology, clinical biochemistry, diagnostic immunology and vaccines, and clinical molecular biology.
Providing medical laboratory graduates able to participate in the development of clinical laboratory practices and to conduct applied medical research that benefit medical laboratory services.
General admission requirements are in agreements with the regulation of admissions in force by the collage of higher education in the university.

Students holding B.Sc. degree rather than B.Sc. in medical laboratory sciences or its equivalence and is not a holder of ministry of health laboratory technician certificate are required to take remedial requirements determined by the department according to the student needs to be eligible for admission in the program.
