President of the Sports Federation of Jordanian Universities signs sponsorship agreement with the Jordanian Basketball Federation for the Blink Tournament

The President of the Sports Federation of Jordanian Universities, Prof. Dr. Sari Hamdan, signed the Blink League Sponsorship Agreement for Universities with The President of the Jordanian Basketball Federation, Mr. Mohammed Elayyan, during a press conference held on Monday, 21st of Macrh, 2022 at Prince Hamza Stadium – Al Hussein Youth City. The Blink Tournament will be held from May 8th to June 29th, 2022. Under this agreement, an annual basketball tournament will be held for students of Jordanian universities that are members of the Federation, to continue for two semesters in subsequent seasons, in addition to qualifying a generation of coaches through many training courses, and working to classify the largest number of them as accredited trainers at the Youth Leadership Preparation Center of the Ministry of Youth or the Jordanian Basketball Federation. Prof. Dr. Sari Hamdan, President of the Sports Federation of Jordanian Universities, expressed his pride in the initiative of the Jordanian Basketball Federation to establish an official institutional league for Jordanian universities and with the support of Blink, which is a step towards the development of basketball in universities, which reflects positively on the development of the Jordanian basketball that has been successfully led by the current Federation Council successfully in previous years which gave back Jordanian basketball its glory. Hamdan also stressed that the governing body of the Federation of Universities confirms its keenness to make the initiative a success and to capitalize on it to provide all the support and tools in universities to launch the league in a spectacular way, expressing his enthusiasm to see more investment in the structure of stadiums in universities and to create similar programs in all sports. The President of the Jordanian Basketball Federation, Mr. Mohammed Elayyan, expressed his pride in the deep relationship between the Sports Federation of Jordanian Universities and the Jordanian Basketball Federation, which resulted in an agreement in which universities place all their confidence in the organization of the Federation of Jordanian Universities Basketball League. Mr. Nabil Abu Atta, Secretary General of the Jordanian Basketball Federation, pointed out that the work of this agreement began prior to this press conference through the establishment of a training course for university coaches before the start of the league, in addition to that a course for new referees will be held for sporting activities supervisors in universities, and stressed that the main goal of organizing the Blink league for universities includes the expansion of the fan base of the game and increase connection with the young fanbase that in Jordanian universities, and stressed that the league is one of the main components of the comprehensive development program that will be announced by the Federation next month, and that the first version of it will be under close supervision of the Federation and the sponsors in order to excel in its organization at the highest possible level to serve basketball in Jordan properly. The signing of the agreement was attended by The Secretary General of the Sports Federation of Jordanian Universities, Dr. Mustafa Al-Attiyah, and the Secretary General of the Jordanian Basketball Federation, Engineer Nabil Abu Atta.
