A Lecture on "Small to Medium Enterprises” at the Business School of Al-Ahliyya Amman University

As part of the activities of the Business School at Al-Ahliyya Amman University to communicate with different economic sectors and to bridge the gap between the academic and practical aspects of business, the faculty hosted today the economist and financial expert Dr. Mohammed Al Jaafari, General Manager of the Jordan Loan Guarantee Corporation (JLGC) and former General Manager of the Social Security Corporation to talk to faculty members about the mission and programs of JLGC and the financing of Small to Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and the role of the company in insuring loans granted by banks to this sector. Moreover, he also touched on the topic of supporting the export sectors supported by JLGC as part of the export support program provided to banks in the Kingdom, in addition to supporting entrepreneurial projects sponsored by the company to support entrepreneurs and innovators and encourage them by sharing the risk in their projects and new ideas. JLGC agreed to sign a memorandum of understanding with the startup incubator at the university, and at the end of this interactive lecture the guest answered all questions and inquiries that were asked by the faculty members. It is worth mentioning that the faculty will continue to host various subject matter experts as part of its program for this semester.
