Researcher Khuloud Barakat al-Khatalin of the Faculty of Law at Al-Ahliyya Amman University defended her thesis entitled (The role of reconciliation in ending criminal cases: a comparative study). The importance of the thesis stems from highlighting the importance of reconciliation in ending criminal cases and in alleviating the pressure on the judicial system and reducing time and procedures, which reflects positively on the advancement of the judicial system by decreasing the number of pending cases. This will allow courts to be devoted to researching and investigating other cases, in addition to providing the treasury with additional financial resources and sparing the respondent the consequences of criminal records. The thesis panel consisted of Dr. Saleh Ahmed Hijazi / Chair and Supervisor, Dr. Mohammad Abdullah Al-Wreikat / Internal examiner, Dr. Hassan Awadh Salem Tarawneh / External examiner. At the end of the session, the panel recommended that the student be awarded a master's degree in law.
